My first boxes was
organic, with the soft shape I came close to the metals plasticity, but
the shape was to much Georg Jensen and Henning Koppel, It was necessary
to brake the style, the box in silver from 1980 is important for my . This
box is an reaction against the grotesque worship of function that was characteristic
of Danish design. There can be storage something
in it - but the shape is the important part. All my boxes is unique, it
happens that I repeat a shape, but there is always modification. |

Copper and silver
came in as stripes and circles, it have always been my interest for shape
that have inspire me. Not the worlds need for boxes. I have recognize
that the silversmith isn't there to create practical objects, he is there
to preserve the curiosity and settel exampels in metal. |

Movement have always
interestet me, with the box "brise" I try to keep a movement
in the metal. In the years to come I swing between the strictness and systematic
expression, and a more spontaneous work process. It has been important to
work with both shapes and this "collaboration" have brought me
to the place, where I am today. It is a place with a big artistic
freedom. |
